Picture Perfect

Instagram is great tool for posting and editing pictures. Users can also use filters to modify their pictures to make them look like they were taken by a professional.

One of the benefits of using Instagram is that it directly connects users to some of the most popular social media and social networking sites that exist today such as Facebook and Twitter allowing members to upload and share their pictures with friends and family across multiple platforms quickly and easily.

Perhaps one of the major reasons why Instagram is so popular is because it complements sites such as Facebook so well. Most social networking websites provide their users with very few, if any, photo-editing tools. Instagram, on the other hand, lets its users do it all. Today, cameras are widely accessible and people, especially the younger generation, seem to prefer using pictures rather than words to communicate with each other. Therefore, an application dedicated to taking and posting quality on-the-go pictures is nothing less than essential. It’s like they say, a picture is worth a thousand words.

The biggest issue with Instagram, however, is its lack of uniqueness. There are many other websites and mobile applications devoted to editing and sharing photos. In fact, Instagram recently implemented new features that closely resemble those of another mobile application, Snapchat. Instagram is trendy at the moment, but will its popularity last? Only time will tell. So, for now, continue to enjoy all that Instagram has to offer.
